A big thank you to the Ontario Tech University Summer Camps for partnering with the Software Engineering & Education Research Lab (SEER Lab) and supporting our research study on the benefits of tangible and hybrid (tangible + digital) educational games in learning computational thinking with K-5 students.
This past two summers Sheila Rhodes and the camp staff have supported us organize our voluntary research study during the camp lunch times. This research provided campers an opportunity to play a new educational game (Run, Llama, Run) and helped support more accessible computer science education for children and families who may not always have access to a computer or tablet. The study was done by incoming PhD student Stacey Koornneef under the supervision of myself and Michael Miljanovic.
