PhD student Stacey Koornneef has been awarded a $35,000 grant from the Digital Research Alliance of Canada as part of their equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility (EDIA) pilot program.
Under this program Stacey will be working with the Ontario Tech Women in Research Council under the mentorship of council chair, Dr. Karla Dhungana Sainju. Stacey’s proposed work includes assessing EDIA challenges and needs among Ontario Tech graduate students and facilitating workshops aimed at strengthening graduate student support across the institution.
Stacey Koornneef is a first year PhD student in the SEER Lab researching accessible computer science education under the supervision of Dr. Jeremy Bradbury.
